Hi there, my name is Barbara Maureen Grimstone, nee Bateman, the connection between the Bateman and the Grimstone family occured in 1959 with my marriage to John J R Grimstone.

The Bateman name can be traced back as far as the year 1500, my line has now been confirmed back to 1694 with the birth of James Bateman at Herongate, East Horndon, Essex in England, my (6xG )Grandfather.

Our family migrated to Australia in 1954, sailing on the Ormonde and taking up residence in Brisbane, Mt.Gravatt area.
